Adhere: questions / answers

Here are some one of the questions most often put down by the new activists. Other answers are available on the site of or in the booklet of the new available follower in the Federation. Especially, do not hesitate to question your Secretary of section.

Adhere to PS: what this means?

There is not unique model of follower. Some take responsibilities from breast of their section (communal level) or of their federation (department) or even nationally.
Some others want to compete to universal suffrage and become elected.
But the majority of the activists participate in reflexion and in life of the Party by the meetings of section, distribution of pamphlets, the production of contributions... Others limit their action to the participation in the different internal polls which allow to determine direction and leaders of the Socialist Party.
Each must be able to find his place according to his desires and to the time which it has. An involvement, even modest, contributes to the strengthening of the Socialist Party and to the radiance of its ideas.

What are the rights of the activist?

He can vote in all internal consultations: plan, investitures for candidacies on different elections (local, Cantonal, regional, legislative, presidential, referendum). He can be candidate for the candidacy for the same expiry dates.

What is the freedom of expression of the activist?

To take its card does not mean to surrender of its personal reflexion to follow a line of the party . On the contrary, they expect from the activist that he brings his reflexion into service of the collective to enrich it. Difference of analyses is confronted during congresses but also during every meeting of section. After the time of debate, respect for voted decisions remains the rule, at all levels of the Party.

Be militant, how much does it cost?

The price of the first year membership was fixed to 20 . The cost of the contribution of next years depends at the same time on the section and on the incomes of the follower (e). Except the students or the unemployed persons, for whom are envisaged of particular conditions, coute contribution between about 60 and 300 . A 66 % tax deduction is possible for those who are liable to tax.

Motions, how are you getting on?

On the occasion of congress, every activist can be led to sign a motion , that is to say a text of political direction. This commitment is not compulsory but allows to postulate in the authorities of internal democracy of the party others than the section: federal advice, national advice, etc.

What is the activity of the federation?

The federation is a place of resources and of means for all activists. The members of the federal Офис can be solicited by sections as part of their delegations and the federal committees offer debates on topics such as culture, Europe, justice, urban solidarity, etc. "F d " also gives a logistical support, meeting rooms, an assistance in communication, in Internet and will introduce shortly a plan of training opened to all activists.
